My queries were replied to promptly, the order was despatched within 10 days and the finished item is beautiful. I had been looking for a company to make me some bespoke Mahjong oak racks that would fit the specific measurements of my tiles.
I contacted Make Me Something Special with the measurements and they quoted me a price and timescale. The racks were received on time and the quality is excellent and exactly the correct size. I would not hesitate to recommend this company and will certainly use them in future.

Sometimes the name of the company tells you everything you need to know. You definitely do receive something special when you order. I ordered the Christmas Eve Box a few weeks before Christmas with personalised text, the team said they could get it to me before Christmas and were true to their word. Absolutely brilliant service, really friendly people, amazing quality products, far better than anything you get on Etsy etc. I've just ordered a few more items for my Wife's birthday, with a request from me for a change to the size of the one item. I received a reply confirming this wasn't a problem straight away and they're not even charging me for the size change.
If you're looking for a beautiful bespoke piece of woodwork, look no further, you have found the place to buy it from!!

I contacted Make Me Something Special to discuss a 50th anniversary present. Once I told them what I was after, they talked me through the process and confirmed they could provide it in the timeframe I had. Once we had the details in place, they provided a mock-up of the piece, I paid and the item was delivered in plenty of time. The 87-year old recipient is delighted with it and she is showing it off to everyone who visits. Given that she is the very heart of our village, this is practically everyone who lives here, and they all love it.

We normally subscribe to the traditional blue plaque method to celebrate or recognise people and events but in this instance the church authorities responsible for this particular plaque installation inside a church sought something more appropriate to the setting. After finding 'Make Me Something Special' on the Internet, we suggested a solid oak plaque with inset black lettering and this was accepted. We, and the Church Authorities are absolutely delighted with the result - beautifully made and entirely appropriate to the setting, we cannot recommend MMSP highly enough - thank you very much for all your care and attention in producing this beautiful plaque - Mike Thompson for Margate Civic Society.

The tablet holder is perfect - wood quality and lettering engraving is done to excellence. Highly recommend.
Unfortunately the tablet I received was in black walnut not oak as I ordered - I emailed and Ben wrote back saying he would send a new one as quick as possible within a 2 day turnaround so that it still arrived for husband on the day of his Dads funeral. Superb service.

I bought two personalised Wooden Boxes with lock from MMSS and am very, very happy. One box was even customised with special dimensions.
Ben is very friendly and keen to fulfil the customer's wishes.
Only solid wood is used.
I was also delighted to see that all the fittings and even the screws are made of solid brass. The lock also comes from a traditional company and is made in England. With other manufacturers, such fittings are hardly ever made of brass, but are galvanised, brass-plated or nickel-plated.

The scent of the oiled wooden products is also wonderful.
Shipping abroad and customs clearance also went well and quickly. I can really recommend Makemesomethingspecial and I am pleased that such high-quality handmade joinery is still available here in Europe at affordable prices. I would like to buy more pieces.

Well! What can I say! ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC!!! One week ago I ordered this chopping board as a house warming present for my Son and his Fiancé. I have just received it back after the first one was not as I expected. I finally got round to ordering the 8 bottle personalised oak wine rack after deliberating over it for some time as it's a pricey item. I wish I hadn't waited for so long... it's fabulous!! I love it! The ordering process was quick and easy, and I didn't have to wait long at all before it was on it's way to me. Unfortunately the rack got slightly damaged in transit but Ben and Michelle were super quick in sorting it all out. Super products, super customer service. Will definitely be ordering again.
