Most of our personalised wooden gifts have been designed from a want or a need for things that we would like or can't find on the market. Our wooden salt and pepper bowls are exactly that, and were born from wanting to season food whilst cooking.

The first ever one was made in 2003 and is still being used today and from this came the inspiration for the Emma Bridgewater salt & pepper bowl holder which incorporates her pottery. Since this time customers have been repeatedly coming to us to bespoke make large oak bowls for herbs and spices and wanting more bowls included in their salt and pepper bowls to hold different kinds of salts like Pink Himalayan salt. You will find professional Chefs prefer this method of using different salts and spices. If you have never used wooden salt and pepper bowls before - you are going to love it. No lids to open, nothing to unscrew just your favourite seasoning selection there in a pinch. Whilst stood at the cooker or sat at the table, wooden salt and pepper bowls are fabulous to use. Our wooden salt and pepper pinch pots come with or without your own personalised engraving. Choose either our standard engraved text. simply 'SALT & PEPPER' or choose to have your own engraved inscription, like 'PINCH ME' or 'SEASON WELL'. If you add a date or engraved names, these make the best Christmas gifts, also ideal for weddings, 5th wedding anniversary gifts or just to use as you own. I ordered a massive live edge chopping board from Make Me Something Special which arrived today. My husband had been looking at different boards for quite some time and never quite found exactly what he wanted until we found MMSS. I have been looking for a large carving board with channels and a well to catch the meat juices for ages and came across MMSS. I spoke to Ben by phone a week before Christmas and we agreed the design. I assumed delivery would be after Christmas but no Ben assured me I would be carving the turkey on it this year. True to his word the board arrived on Christmas Eve. Ben also suggested an upgrade to dark walnut which I'm really pleased with. The board is exactly as I wanted it and looks stunning the finish is superb. I thought it may look slightly worse for wear after battling with the Turkey but once washed which was easy and re-oiled the board looks as good as the day it arrived. So thank you for great service and a fantastic product.
