Finish: Untreated or Superior Danish Oil
Aftercare: Product maintenance is very important. Teak is a wonderful naturally oily timber. If you have chosen your product to be left untreated, your product will fade to a pale silver in time. We recommend a pressure wash or a sand once a year to remove any moss or unwanted mess on the timber and then treat with an exterior oil to slow down decay.
Danish Oil: If you have chosen Danish oil we recommend you continue to treat your product with Danish oil or similar timber treatment oil to protect the timber and stop it drying out. This will also help to prevent staining, discolouration, cracking and warping.
About Timber: Natural timber will always want to move. It’s going to expand and shrink as the temperature and humidity changes in your home and outside, rest assured it won’t change drastically. Small hairline splits may occur as your product ages, this is completely normal and is regarded as part of the timbers natural beauty. As the seasons change you may see some movement in your product, again this is completely normal.
Our Teak: All our products are made of FLEGT-licensed teak sourced from Indonesia. LEGT-licensed timber is considered to fully comply with the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR)

Our engraved school leavers bench
When it comes to the end of the school year we are always asked by parents who are looking to club together and buy a leavers gift., One of the most popular commissions is our engraved school leavers bench. This is lasting statement, sat in pride of place at the school showing the children’s names.
If you look at it if 30 parents contribute then that’s around £29 per child to leave a bench that will be remembered for many many years to come, so a very long-lasting practical gift to the school and teachers who have looked after your children through the years.
We have included in the price of the bench engraving across the upright slats making up the bench back rest. Depending on the size of bench you choose, we can offer a single name or two names to be engraved down each slat upright.
Our new engraved school benches are available in 3 standard sizes, a 2 seater, a 3 seater and a 4 seater configuration.
We offer three versions of our benches, Standard and Premium with a curved top rail. Premium is the much heavier-duty version. The solid Teak bench frame is a lot chunkier and more solid however it does reduce the amount of upright making up the backrest. The curved top is ideal for those who want an engraved logo or carved crest on the bench. Please see our example images in our product gallery.
The Curved Crest Top Bench will include a carved logo, however this is based on a basic logo with good quality artwork being supplied. Some logos can be very complicated to carve which may add to the cost of the bench. Please do contact us with your logo when or before placing an order.

Our Teak benches come without any finish as standard. Teak is a naturally oily timber and is perfectly suited for outdoor conditions. Your bench will fade to a pale silver colour in time if left untreated. You do have the option, if you so desire, to have your traditional bench finished in Superior Grade Danish Oil.
Coloured fitted cushion covers can be added to your bench order. An outdoor bench seat cushion is the perfect accessory for any timber bench, making it more comfortable and will finish off your bench nicely. Available in a range of colours.
If you are concerned about the security of your bench and want to protect your wooden school garden bench from opportunistic thieves and vandals we can supply quick and easy-to-install ground anchor fixing kits for both hard and soft ground.
Crafted from rust-proof galvanised steel, our ground anchors will provide an extra level of garden furniture security.
