Finish: Untreated or Superior Danish Oil
Aftercare: Product maintenance is very important. Teak is a wonderful naturally oily timber. If you have chosen your product to be left untreated, your product will fade to a pale silver in time. We recommend a pressure wash or a sand once a year to remove any moss or unwanted mess on the timber and then treat with an exterior oil to slow down decay.
Danish Oil: If you have chosen Danish oil we recommend you continue to treat your product with Danish oil or similar timber treatment oil to protect the timber and stop it drying out. This will also help to prevent staining, discolouration, cracking and warping.
About Timber: Natural timber will always want to move. It’s going to expand and shrink as the temperature and humidity changes in your home and outside, rest assured it won’t change drastically. Small hairline splits may occur as your product ages, this is completely normal and is regarded as part of the timbers natural beauty. As the seasons change you may see some movement in your product, again this is completely normal.
Our Teak: All our products are made of FLEGT-licensed teak sourced from Indonesia. LEGT-licensed timber is considered to fully comply with the EU Timber Regulation (EUTR)

Here is our bespoke engraved Teak bench for his majesty King Charles III for his Royal Coronation. The bench comes with engraved lettering along the top rail including the official coronation emblem in the centre arch. We’re very happy to be using our skills to make such a stunning-looking bench for our King’s coronation. To be enjoyed by people for many years to come.
Here at Make Me Something Special our engraving is second to none, and we have used our creative skills to create a carved motif that is exquisite. Both the lettering and the motif are deeply carved (not etched or laser engraved) and will last as long as the bench, which will be years. A real eye-catching quality garden bench and focal point.
The bench features a chunky, sturdy frame with a high backrest and shaped seat. The armrests are flat and smooth for comfort in mind. This outdoor bench is put together using traditional joinery techniques, namely mortise and tenon joints and finished with considerable care and attention to detail. These benches are of the highest specification. Assembled from sustainably sourced grade-A teak, this outdoor bench can be left outside all year round, even during inclement weather, requiring only minimal maintenance.

This bespoke Coronation bench comes in three standard sizes – 2 seaters, 3 seaters and 4-seater configurations. Made-to-measure sizes are also available.
These benches come with engraving and a carved crest motif on the top rail but there is also room for further engraving, if required, on the Knee Bar. Up to 50 characters.
If required, we can engrave each and every upright making up the back of the bench and on top of the armrests. Please contact us for details. For carved logos and motifs please contact us for a quotation.
Our Teak benches come without any finish as standard. Teak is a natural oily timber which is perfectly suited for outdoor conditions. Your bench will fade to a pale silver colour in time if left untreated. You do have the option, if you so desire, to have your memorial bench finished in Superior Danish Oil.
An outdoor bench seat cushion is the perfect accessory for any timber bench, making it more comfortable and will finish off your bench nicely we have these available in a range of colours.
If you are concerned about security of your bench and want to protect your wooden garden bench from opportunistic thieves and vandals we can supply quick and easy to install ground anchor fixing kits for both hard and soft ground.
Crafted from rust-proof galvanised steel, our ground anchors will provide an extra level of garden furniture security.
