Finish: Superior Danish Oil or Diamond Coating
Aftercare: Product maintenance is very important. If you have chosen Danish oil we recommend you continue to treat your product with Danish oil or similar timber treatment oil to protect the timber and stop it drying out. This will also help to prevent staining, discolouration, cracking and warping.
Dimond Coating – If you have chosen Dimond Coating we would recommend you treat your product once a year to keep your product well maintained. Top up kits can be purchased on our website or over the phone.
About Timber: Natural timber will always want to move. It’s going to expand and shrink as the temperature and humidity changes in your home and outside, rest assured it won’t change drastically. Small hairline splits may occur as your product ages, this is completely normal and is regarded as part of the timbers natural beauty. As the seasons change you may see some movement in your product, again this is completely normal.
Never put your Draining board in a Dishwasher. Do not leave on a hot or damp surface or in direct sunlight. Do not leave wet crockery or utensils on your board for long periods of time. Allow them to drain then remove and dry the board. This will prolong the life of the boards surface.

These stunning bespoke wooden draining boards are made completely by hand from exotic timbers glued edge to edge to create a drain board that is like nothing else. Something completely different and unique. No two will ever be the same.
These draining boards are solid, thick, strong and well built, they will last for years to come. Handmade to order in our Hampshire workshop completely from scratch using high quality hand selected timbers.

Unlike other wooden draining boards you might come across, ours are made from completely solid joined board. Like a kitchen worktop or good quality wooden chopping board. We then route away the surface area down to create a recess sloping surface, leaving an outer edge behind to stop water from escaping. We then carve 9 accurate cut cascading grooves to help clear the surface of excess water and carry it from your glasses and crockery. Make Me Something Special draining boards are simply stunning and add elegance to any kitchen. The perfect companion for any Belfast or under counter sink.
Our Draining Boards come finish in Liberon, Superior Danish oil as standard but if you want to ensure maximum protection, you can choose our new extremely hardwearing Diamond Coating finish.
Our wooden drainer does not come with any personalisation as standard but as with our Chopping Boards there is always room on the sides for personalising if required. Please let us know when placing your order if you would like some engraving.
