Handmade from solid English oak our tall hockey stick signs are a thing of beauty. They are thick durable and made to last for years.

ENGRAVING COLOUR OPTIONS:

All of our oak hockey stick signs can have deep carved lettering that can be left plain or you can choose to have the lettering paint filled with either Black, White or Grey weatherproof acrylic paint. Ideal for making your house or business sign more visible when it is dark.

Finish:

As with everything we do here at Make Me Something Special, we have spent the time researching and sourcing the perfect materials available. Each oak sign is handmade from one piece of Air Dried Superior Grade English Oak. This Timber is perfectly seasoned and adjusted for outdoor conditions. You can choose to leave your sign untreated, finished in Superior Danish Oil or our low maintenance Diamond Coating finish.

If you choose untreated your product will weather to a pale silver more quickly. Danish Oil will not only treat the timber but also bring out the timbers natural colour. This has a UV filter to protect the timber but it does require regular upkeep. 2 – 4 times a year to keep it looking its best. Diamond Coating is more glossy but a lot more harder wearing and only requires a top up once a year, however this depend on the weather and where the product is placed. We would recommend twice a year if you want full protection. Top up kits can be ordered over the phone or on our website – see here. 

Fittings:

All our personalised oak mini signs no don’t come with any fittings. If you would like us to include screw holes just add these from the options list.

As all our engraved signs are made to order it is very easy for us to make signs to required dimensions. We offer a completely bespoke service on all our personalised wooden gifts. So if you need something made to a specific size or style, we can make this for you. That also includes different fonts, carved crest or logos, motifs and symbols.
