Though since the new James Martin daytime cooking program – James Martin: Home Comforts, the phone hasn’t stopped ringing for our wooden salt and pepper holders.

Davina and I came up with our original wooden salt and pepper pinch bowl design well over ten years ago and have used it every day since. If you have never used this kind of salt-cellar before, you are going to love the simplicity and will never look back!

Wood salt & pepper bowls are such a great way to season your favourite foods whilst cooking – fabulous at the table too. No lids, nothing to unscrew, just your favourite seasonings there in a pinch. It is a useful, simple, yet elegant kitchen accessory – and just looks so good on display with your own deep engraved lettering.

However, we have taken this wooden seasoning kitchen accessory concept one step further. Because of the growing popularity of the different types of salt available, such as Himalayan Salt, people want more variety at their finger tips rather than the usual table salt and pepper. Our new bespoke oak salt and pepper pinch bowls are no different to our standard salt and pepper block, except you can add further bowls to house all your favourite seasoning.

We can make these to any size and shape. That is the beauty of what we do here at Make Me Something Special – it is all about that the customer wants. Every bowl is hand-crafted from beautiful Prime A Grade English Oak. The timber we use is of exceptional quality and hand selected by us to ensure it is nothing but perfect for our wooden products.

Nothing we make is on the shelf – it is all handmade to order. These new longer oak store bowls are available from one up to six bowls as standard and come with or without personalised engraving.
