This handcrafted wooden cube is our personalised Baptism block. It has six faces, all of which can have something engraved on. Personal inscribed details of the time, place and person who is being Christened.
These large oak blocks are proving extremely popular and its not hard to see why, this is something that will be with them for the rest of their lives. You can choose to have either one up to all six faces engraved with beautifully carved inscriptions of that very special persons own unique details. If you are looking for a lovely christening gift and want to buy something less ordinary, like the traditional silver spoon or a silver hair brush or something of that nature, we think we have a memorable, personal and tear bringing product in the form of a personalised wooden engraved block.
When my two girls were Christened, we bought them jewellery for when they are older. Something girly and pretty that they could keep forever but they could use every now and again. However, since we have begun making these personalised wooden christening bricks I went into the workshop and crafted one each for my three children, even though the christening was years ago and my son is now 13.
I really do think we have created something truly special! as well as unique for the Baptism gift or for a new born baby present. Though you can’t use it, like with jewellery, this is such a lovely gift! Not just a reminder of the day but something so very personal with unique details of that special person.
This unique wooden gift will be treasured for the rest of their lives. As with a fingerprint – no two will ever be the same – totally unique with the details of that unique person. We can engraved your Wooden Christening Blocks with a name, date of birth, time of birth, birth weight, christening date, siblings names, Church name, parents names, god parents name – what ever you desire.
The oak block is 100mm square – really chunky – and is hand crafted by us in our Surrey Hills workshop from true English Oak. They start at £25.00 which gives you one face engraved. You can then add further engraved faces for £15.00 per face.
We do currently make a selection of beautiful children’s gifts, such as our Egg & Soldiers block and Boiled Egg Cup, which can be personalised with names and dates, they are beautiful products, functional, eco friendly and almost unbreakable for little ones.
Though our child’s wooden tree swing got picked by the Independent Newspaper in their ‘The 10 Best christening presents’ We hadn’t created this idea at the time and if we had I recon this would have been picked. I love the whole design and concept, it is something so sweet that it will never be thrown away or get broken – after all, oak is very hard and durable.
