Finish: Diamond Coating & Food safe oil

Aftercare: Product maintenance is very important. Your product has been finished with out hard wearing Dimond Coating finish. Top up kits can be purchased on our website or over the phone. We would recommend you treat your product once every couple of years to maintain the protection.

Oiling: The bread board cutting surface has been treated with our all natural chopping board oil. Regular treatment is required on the cutting surface to protect it and stop it drying out.

We would recommend using a paper kitchen towel in the bottom of the bread bin box, this will help keep your bread fresh and absorb any moisture.

About Timber: Natural timber will always want to move. It’s going to expand and shrink as the temperature and humidity changes in your home and outside, rest assured it won’t change drastically. Small hairline splits may occur as your product ages, this is completely normal and is regarded as part of the timbers natural beauty. As the seasons change you may see some movement in your product, again this is completely normal.

Do not store your product outside, in a garden shed or a garage.

If you need any help or advise on how to maintain your product please contact us or consult your care guide.

Product Description: Engraved Wooden Bread Bin with Bread Board

A perfect blend of practicality and storage. Unlike any other wooden bread bin on the market.

This is our take on a kitchen classic – the Wooden Bread Bin with Bread Board in the lid. Designed with quality in mind, our luxury handmade oak bread bins are a pleasure to have in a kitchen. With a hardwearing solid wooden bread board as a lid, you can keep your bread and wooden breadboard in one place, always at hand when you need it.

Bread has a short life span. It either gets eaten up, dries up or goes mouldy and nothing can stop one of those three things from happening. There is several ways to store fresh bread, but there is one preferred way and any good baker will tell you – The best way to keep your loaves staying as fresh for longer – is in a good quality bread bin.

If you leave it out unwrapped – it will turn into a giant crispy crouton. If you put it in the fridge – it dries out. If you put it in a plastic bag – it gets that “plastic” taste, goes soggy and then goes mouldy. An Oak or Walnut bread bin, on the other hand, will maintain your bread at an optimum balance of humidity, neither too dry nor too soft, for a reasonable number of days. Wooden Bread Bins keep bread crustier, fresher and tasting better for longer.

Building our Wooden Bread Bins:

Our truly stunning handmade wooden bread bins with breadboards are made from Superior Grade Oak or American Black Walnut. They are thick, strong and feature beautiful Dovetail joints. It will keep your bread fresh whilst adding that personal feel to your kitchen. Our wooden bread bins are beautifully made and wonderfully finished. You will not find a bread bin handmade with this much care and attention to detail. Our handcrafted solid wood bread bins are a thing of beauty.

Apart from being very well made, our handcrafted bread bins are very spacious inside, large enough to hold two full-sized loaves of bread and still have room for buns, cakes and other patisseries.

All natural food safe oil:

Our bread bins are coated with our hard wearing Diamond coating finish. This finish is a glossy finish that will protect the timber for years to come. The wooden bread board is treated with several coats of our natural Vegan rated food safe chopping board oil. There is nothing harmful in our oils, no hardeners or solvents, no bi-products, just 100% non-toxic natural plant based oils.
