Our all new engraved wooden bench, perfect for gardens, schools, parks, churches, stately homes and other areas that need a good quality, solid wooden bench for people to sit and enjoy the surroundings.
Here at Make Me Something Special we are known for our quality wooden gifts and personalised wooden benches is something we are very proud of. We have been handcrafting wooden benches from solid English oak and engraving quotes, poems for peoples gardens, names and dates for weddings and special messages for memorial benches for loved ones.

However, our new engraved bench is made from a very different timber – Teak.
Teak is a great timber for outside garden furniture, it is a natural oily timber giving it natural protection from the elements. You can treat the bench, we have two options for this. Superior Danish oil and our Diamond Coating finish which will help keep your wooden bench looking new and clean. If you are wanting to not treat the bench then it will turn a pale silver, which in a lot of peoples eye, is more beautiful and natural.
The construction of this Teak Benches is done using traditional joinery techniques. You will see doweling and classic joints throughout this wooden garden bench. The seat is very deep and perfectly shaped to be very comfortable. It has enough room for you to add cushions and not feel like you are restricting the seating area.
The legs and arm rests are seriously chunky. You will know the second you see it, that this is a heavier duty and more solid feeling bench than you have ever come across. It is very solid and well made.
We hand sand every inch of our new engraved garden benches until they are silky smooth to the touch. We spend a lot of time creating a good finish that you will enjoy. You will find you can’t stop touching it.
However, I could go on about how good the timber is, the ways its made, the quality of the whole thing… I really could. They are quite stunning as garden benches go, but the best thing, as always, is our engraved lettering.
No one carves lettering like we do, our quality of engraved lettering is unmatched. Every single letter is sharp, smooth and crisp. It is our own special font, based on Times New Roman but unlike a flat machine cut letter, our engraved lettering is V-shaped, with chiseled serifs, making beautiful, readable lettering.
We can engrave anything you like on our benches and in several different places.
The top rail of our personalised benches is included in the price. Depending on the size of bench you choose, you have a good amount of characters to use, as well as carved symbols like heats, stars and other carved motifs.
What you choose to have engraved is completely up to you. As a memorial, as a wedding gift or just simply to treat yourself to a substantial garden bench for the garden, you have the freedom to have anything you like.
The other place you can have engraved text is on the front rail below the front of the seat. This is very similar in size to the top rail and can be engraved with the same amount of characters.
Characters Quantities:
1.5 Seater – 50 characters
2 Seater – 70 characters
3 Seater – 100 characters
Either one is included in the cost of the bench. You then have the flexibility to engrave on the uprights making up the bench back. The thin ribs can be engraved with names, for example, you can engrave these with all the leavers names at your children’s school. Stunning!
