The personalised wooden signs we create here at Make Me Something Special are unlike any other sign on the market. From our wooden business signs to our bespoke house signs, all of our designs are handmade to order in our Surrey Hills workshop by our skilled craftsman with great care and attention to detail. The timber is hand selected by us to ensure the highest quality signs are produced. We use the finest Superior Grade English Oak sourced from local British Sawmills to create our bespoke wooden signs. We use century old traditional joinery techniques combined with modern high-tech machinery to produce solid oak signs that are strong and durable making them perfect to stay strong under the pressures of British weather.

You may have noticed the quality of our carved engraving… well, this is down to our approach of producing the perfect carved letter. What makes it special is our own unique combination of machine and hand carving. We don’t use a laser or etch our lettering, we do it the old fashioned way, carving out deep V-shaped lettering. First we machine cut the letters for continuity in size, shape and layout using the same diamond tipped cutters that are used by companies such as McLauren & Rolls Royce. Then we finish each letter by hand, sharpening and polishing every surface to create carved lettering that will stands out amongst the crowd. The finished result is breathtaking.
