Our Large Live Edge Chopping Boards are one of the largest wooden chopping boards we make. They are made from a single piece of 3” thick solid English Oak. However, though being large in thickness and length, the width has its limits.

The widest you can comfortably go with a single piece of oak is around 30cm. On occasion we do get the odd piece at a width of 35cm, sometimes a little wider. From here, if you require a much deeper chopping board the only way is to join two or more pieces together, the same way we manufacture our square edge wooden chopping boards and cheese boards. And this technique in-fact makes the board more stable and resistant to movement.

Furthermore as we make all of our boards to order, it allows us to create board to any size – within reason. Once joining wooden boards together, we can offer boards very wide indeed. You can even have two natural edges on either side of the board. Perfect as a table top or work surface.

All of our oak chopping boards are handmade by our skilled craftsmen in our Hampshire workshop. The  timber is sourced from a local historic country estate, hand selected for their natural beauty, then transformed into beautiful organic, rustic wooden chopping boards or worktops with a silky smooth hand sanded finish. They really are stunning and a great statement in your kitchen.

Due to using this specific part fo the tree, there will be signs of natural activity of woodworm and holes which add to the live edge beauty and uniqueness. (Please note there will be no living woodworm in the board)

Our bespoke live edge chopping boards can be personalised with your choice of words or lettering if required on the square edge, on the surface or underneath the board.
