I ordered a massive live edge chopping board from Make Me Something Special which arrived today. My husband had been looking at different boards for quite some time and never quite found exactly what he wanted until we found MMSS. I phoned to discuss my requirements with Ben and he was very knowledgeable and helpful when ordering. The board is absolutely stunning, it adds that finishing touch to our new kitchen. I have been looking for a large carving board with channels and a well to catch the meat juices for ages and came across MMSS. I spoke to Ben by phone a week before Christmas and we agreed the design. I assumed delivery would be after Christmas but no Ben assured me I would be carving the turkey on it this year. True to his word the board arrived on Christmas Eve. Ben also suggested an upgrade to dark walnut which I'm really pleased with. The board is exactly as I wanted it and looks stunning the finish is superb. I thought it may look slightly worse for wear after battling with the Turkey but once washed which was easy and re-oiled the board looks as good as the day it arrived. So thank you for great service and a fantastic product.

Highly recommend! Made me a personalised plaque exactly how I wanted, even sent me a computerised image to check it was correct before they made it. Michelle was very easy to deal with. And kept me updated with the order status.

I am so delighted with my engraved oak bench - the whole process was smooth and efficient, with impressive personal attention to detail in discussing particular aspects of the engraved motifs. The bench has been admired by many visitors and will hopefully continue to look handsome for many years to come!

Really helpful staff and very easy ordering process. We wanted a bespoke board for a wedding cake which could double up as a cheese board later at the wedding party. The result was also a beautiful personalised keepsake, we were all thrilled with it.

The team did a brilliant job of helping me to create a very special gift for my parents' 50th wedding anniversary, and they went out of their way to help me arrange the delivery on the specific day. My parents love it! The bench is incredibly well made - very solid - and being able to add the special message made it extra special. It needed to be shipped abroad by a specific date.The quality of the bench was fantastic: very well presented and oiled. The most beautiful board I have ever worked on. The craftsmanship of the block is astounding...it is so well made! The wood retains the sharpness of my knives like nothing else.
