David Beckham carves his turkey on a Make Me Something Special board
To all of our customers and website visitors, we hope you had a lovely Christmas and New Year! As always, it was a very busy time for the team at Make Me Something Special. However, luckily for us, we love what we do.
As you will all know by now, one thing we will always stand up for at Make Me Something Special, is quality. That’s what we’re all about. Crafting by hand the most stunning and detailed personalised gifts, made only from the world’s finest timbers.
Of course, maintaining a high standard of quality means we cannot mass-produce our gifts, as each one must be treated by hand with care and attention to detail. But, that’s okay. Why? Because there are still many of you out there who appreciate quality material and craftsmanship. And one of those people, is David Beckham.
That’s right. Mr Beckham decided at Christmas that he was going to carve his turkey on one of our very own personalised wooden carving boards. Take a look at the picture he shared on Instagram…
The board…
The board that David is carving his Christmas turkey on was hand-made in the Make Me Something Special workshop. It’s one of our original products, alongside our range of personalised chopping boards and is available in a variety of timbers, shapes and sizes.
As you can see from the pictures, David didn’t hold back when it came to choosing his size. In fact, the board he chose was 4.5cm thick x 60cm x 100cm. That’s big enough for at least two large Christmas turkeys.
The boards can be crafted from Oak, Cherry, Maple or Walnut. All of which are extremely high quality timbers found in the Northern Appalachia Region of New England. These Furniture Grade American Hardwoods are sourced from sustainable managed Amish saw mills from the very heart of the region.
A personal engraving can be made on both the front and rear edge of the carving board using text and symbols, such as hearts and stars. And, to make it extra special as a gift to a loved one, you can even add a secret message on the underneath, using up to 600 characters.
